Thought i should share the continuing generation of my flock with you all..........

Im not going to be able to do a "Profile" of all the 11 7-8 week chicks, because, well, i cant get a still photo of all of them!

The 7-8 week old chicks

Im going to start off with Stitch.

Ya know, Stitch?

Well, this is my little Stitch

Stitch is the smallest of all the chicks. She is the youngest, and was the last one to hatch.

You see, Stitch got badly shrink wrapped. When all her siblings were out, Stitch was in that egg for whole extra day. She was ready to come to out, but she couldn’t.

I honestly didn’t think I could rescue her, the membrane was completely stuck on her, dried hard, I couldn’t even peel it off. I spent the day on and off working on her, using warm water to soften the membrane up, and eventually peel it off. But with that, came a lot of her baby fluff. So she had bald patches on her back and her head, she was almost completely bald on top of her head.

In all she was stuck in that egg for nearly 3 days, and was very weak when she finally came out.

All in all, little Stitch is very sweet, and thriving. Shes always the last one to come, and looks to her older siblings when she needs help........shes a little sweetheart.

She still has bald patches on her face that i like to call "Battle scars"

Jasper

Ah, my big bruiser. Jasper was one of the first ones out, and he very reassuringly wanted his brother and sisters to come out as soon as possible!
He is a very snugly boy, believe it or not, and he would do anything to get down on my lap and sleep.
He and his other brother "Jade" basically take care of the flock, even at this little stage, but on occasions i find one of his sisters leading the way! He is a good boy, and i plan on keeping him.

Oddball

Really! She is an Oddball!

Its something about her, either her big round eyes that never seem to blink (Literally, and they are very round eyes) or maybe its her short beak (Its been smaller than the others since hatch) But Oddball really is, er, a one of a kind!
She (maybe a he) is pretty shy when it comes to me, she wont necessarily come up to me by herself, but with the others around she feels more comfortable. Shes a gorgeous girl, and has a lot of spirit. She likes to hang out, and is usually in the middle when following her siblings.

Lemon Drop

Ah Lemon Drop. I love this girl, er, i mean boy! Hes just so gorgeous. Hes bred from my star pony (not literally) Cody and my sweet little hen. I bred Cody myself, and i own his mother and father, and what a shock it was to find a chick like this hatching! All her siblings that were bred from Cody and Lily were all black etc, but Lemon Drop and his brother are just wow! Im happy to have more 'Codys' to continue my breeding line on. Im 50/50 as to whether Lemon is a cockerel or pullet, but i dont mind either way.

Lemon doesn't have that much black spots compared to Popcorn his brother, but he has the most gorgeous little white spots!

Lemon is more reserved, but likes to discover new things and tell his siblings!

Jade

(Jade and Jasper, taking a break from their duties)

Camera hog.

He loves the camera.

He also loves posing.

Yep, that basically sums up Jade in three sentences.

Hes a little rat bag, but i love the little stinker. I think his father is my Ancona rooster as he has gorgeous defined spots on his chest, Jade is a sesnible but cheeky little boy. Him and his brother Jasper run their gorgeous flock, but you see, the difference between him and Jasper is Jasper is more honest...................and sweet.
Jade is over confident in himself, but i dont blame him!

Popcorn

This little dude is a spunk! I cant get him to stay still! Hes beautiful, lots of defined black and white markings, like his father.
Popcorn is docile, but he always must know whats going on! Hes always running around making sure everyone's including him. Hes a big show off to his sisters, and i think he knows how much of a spunk he is.

Olive

My little baby <3

Olive and her sister Kai are 2 weeks older than the rest. You cant tell the other birds, but Olive is one of my favorites. Shes such a mummy girl and a snuggler.

Shes loves to ride on my shoulder, and makes sure everyone listens to her mummy! She has the most beautiful eyes, and is just so sweet!
Her and Kai used to run after me, i would take them everywhere with me, and they would follow. And, when i made a certain noise similar to a hen warning sounds, they would run to me and take cover until i reassured them it was ok! They were my main buds!

Shes my little bub, and is growing up to be very tame and a very sweet little pullet.

Kai

My other little bub <3

She and her sister Olive are inseparable. She has the most funny personality, and loves keeping the boys in check. Kai has gorgeous black markings on her neck and wings, they are very defined and are just a pure smooth black.

Im running out of things to say! But boy, is she a escape artist. She also has a good spoonful of attitude.......

Whisper

(This is definitely Whisper)

Opps. I think i actually have Whispers sister in here too, they both have similar chest markings and its hard to separate the two over pictures, anyway!

Whisper is just so sweet. She has the most gorgeous deep back eyes. Shes very reserved and laid back, and loves to sit on your lap for hours, she adores scratches and being pet. Im actually wanting to look into making her a therapy chicken for the elderly homes, i can just see her being perfect. She is beautiful and loves human affection

Rosie

Rosie, i love this gal <3 She is probably the only one without some markings of some sort, but strangely, it makes her stunning! The camera of course wont capture it, but her feathers are so smooth and the tone of black she has is gorgeous black eyes.

Shes just a baby really.....she tries to be a big girl, but cant deny human affection and attention, her eyes looks so pure as if they can look straight through you....................i love cuddling this bub.

OK, i cant profile all of them, that would take ages, sooooooo....

Group photos!

The week old chicks

Topazs baby

My very first home hatched baby silkie. In love.

No, "Topazs baby" isn't actually her name, Topaz is the name of her mum:

And since i haven't found a name for her yet, Topazs baby sounded reasonable........

Actually to be fair, i haven't named all of these guys because I've been so busy, i feel guilty now.

So I'll just post all the pics of these babies here and tell you their breeds and the ones that have names
