Billiam's Flock

Started with six Black Australorp chicks. Lost one to suffocation along the way. We've got five healthy girls that give us each one egg a day. Even as the days are getting hotter, they haven't missed a day. Wow!

Very beautiful flock. :) and great pictures.
such pretty eyes.......
hello. Im trying to decide to use welded wire (hardware cloth) or chicken wire for the run... Have they been protected by the chicken wire?
@willowbranchfarm & chirpchirpchook - Thanks!
@questions543 - I live in the suburbs in AZ where there isn't much wildlife other than birds and domestic pets. Nothing like racoons or foxes that would try to eat through it. I've attached the chicken wire with 1 1/4" screws and 1" washers with a 1/4" hole every 18" to 24". Then, I went back and used a staple gun to secure the wire in between every 4" or so. It's done well so far.
