BYC Memberships: Help Support BackyardChickens
BackYardChickens.com Membership Upgrades
Over the years we've received requests from our chicken forum members that say they want more PM storage space, more image hosting space, custom titles, etc. We’d love to be able to provide these features for everyone, but unfortunately it just isn’t possible with the tens of thousands of members we have.
Also, other members have asked for additional ways to support BYC. For these reason we’ve created new BYC forum membership upgrades. Here are the details for each membership group:

Golden Feather Member Details:
You can purchase a GFM in our store. Here is the pricing:
Do you have 2 BYC members in your house? We will give them a free matching GFM membership if you provide their username when paying. If you wish to upgrade from a 6 month to a one year membership, you may do so within 30 days of the start of your membership and just pay the $8 difference. Custom titles are subject to approval and may not be someone else's username.
Platinum Poultry Member (PPM) Details:
Member Requirements:
• Must have been registered as a BYC member for 6 months
• Must have at least 500 posts
• Must have at least 90% positive feedback in the new BSA feedback system (if selling)
Cost:
6 months: $35
1 year: $60
NOTES:
If you are already a GFM you can apply every month of remaining GFM to this new system at a rate of $2 for each month remaining (up to $20 max discount). So, if you have 3 months of GFM left you will get $6 off your Platinum Membership.
* The same or similar items should only be listed once, for example: If you sell different color chicken purses, just make one listing and have the various colors in your listing.
How to upgrade to a PPM:
1. Email store@backyardchickens.com with a request to upgrade, your username, and the amount of time (6 months or a year).
2. Our store manager will check your stats (time as member, posts, feedback) and if you qualify you'll receive an invoice from Paypal which will take into account how much GFM time you have remaining.
3. Your upgrade to this new group will happen within 48 hours (usually faster, but it is a manual process so give us plenty of time)
Gifting:
If you wish to gift another member, simply purchase the membership you want to gift and note in the comments section the username of the giftee.
