Hi!  I am a 45 year old woman living in suburban New York.  I have three human children, many many foster cats awaiting adoption, and 16 chickens of various breeds. 

I came reluctantly to the world of poultry.  Although I have always loved watching wild birds, I was one of those people who made fun of others who loved pets who couldn't "love" them back.  I could easily understand loving a cat or a dog, but a turtle? a snake? Ridiculous!  So now I am eating my words, loving my birds as I do!

My husband is nearly as obsessed with them as I am, and after 16 years of marriage it is nice to have a hobby that we do together!
