First adventure

We inherited the smaller coop & chickens in March 2011 from some friends our ours who moved and couldn't take them. We have a rooster which we think is a brown leghorn, white leghorn hen and bantam hen of some sort. Bantam went broody so we built a larger coop so she could hatch in the smaller coop without any problems from the others. we had 4 of 6 eggs hatch but one of them diedFrown. The other 3 are now almost a week old and are doing GREAT. This is our first adventure with chickens and has truly been a learning experience. I am NOT a carpenter by any means but i'm very proud of how my new coop turned out. As far as building plans, i don't have any. I got several ideas from other coops on this site and kinda threw them all together. Actual coop size is 4'x8' with a 6' wall in front and 4' wall on rear. Run is 8'x8' with 8' on one side sloping to 7' on the back side.
