Hello!
Welcome to my BYC Page!
My name is Elda. I am married to a wonderful hubby and am mother to four rambunctious kiddos in the Rio Grande Valley!
Just this past August (2009) we began to keep chickens, and it has turned into my new found addiction. I love collecting eggs, hatching them, and watching them grow. We started this journey with only 10 chickens, and now we have 30 of them, along with our newest addition of 2 Campbell ducks and 1 Silkie. We also have two sheep and a German Shepherd named Violet. We are very well on our way to starting our own little farm.
Besides keeping chickens I delve into a lot of things! I sew a variety of things, make hairbows for little girls, re-decorate my house every chance I get, immerse myself in my kids' education and spread myself WAY TO THIN! Wouldn't have it any other way.
This is a picture of our our original brood. They turned out to be Rhode Island Reds and Barred Rock.
