You must have a permit to keep livestock within the City limits in zones marked as "RA". A permit is required for more than four dogs over the age of four months. For more information, please call Planning at 510 583-4200 about type and numbers of livestock allowed. Hayward Animal Services at 510-293-7200 about permits and costs.
