I've had chickens for just over a year now, and love them!  I was given my first chicken, then I bought another two, then they hatched a three chicks from eggs last year.  Sadly, two of the three were killed by next door's dog, but life goes on.  We were recently given an incubator and managed to hatch 14 chicks out of 18 eggs; not bad for a beginner!  Today's task is to build a little run for the babies next to the grown-ups, so they can all start to get used to eachother.  Wish me luck!
