We retired to south Mobile County, Alabama from 30+ years in rural Oklahoma. We were so very grateful to find a place in a rural area, but with conveniences of stores within minutes, and even horses in the pasture next door. We had left our horses in Oklahoma. We are just beginning our adventure in chicken-keeping. We've never kept them, but we're experienced with building and raising animals and a garden. Dear Hubby kindly consented to come on this adventure after some sweet smiles from me, and because we eat a whole lot of eggs. We began our chicken house, building on plans we found here on BYU, in November. I will be posting photos when I figure out how to work the site.
