Need some advice on egg laying

I have two light sussex pullets, one is laying almost everyday but the other has laid one soft egg but nothing for the last two weeks was wondering if this is normal ?

Sometimes it takes pullets a while--even months--to get into a routine of regular laying and fully-formed eggs. This waiting takes a lot of patience!
