I am the father of 5 children from 18-5 and we live on 3 acres.  It used to be farmland but now it is my yard.  I pretty much live in the middle of a wildlife area.  My boys and I hunt for most of our meet, and we are trying to learn as much as we can about raising and caring for layers.  Most of our friends and I trade labor, meet, vegetables among other things to help one another survive.  Since a friend of ours gave us a really big and nice coop and run, both of which were hand built, we want to raise layers.   So any help we can get on raising chickens that produce brown eggs all-year-around would be appreciated.
