i am a dog lover and owner.  i actually rescue and re-home dogs.  dogs are my passion.  

i am a first-time chicken owner offically!  i own 11 birds-some tropical, some not...  but for chickens i am still learning the ropes.  i wasn't planning to get chicks till next year, however someone called me and asked if i wanted some chicks... and they happened to be the ones that i had my heart set out on...  the araucana. 

unfortunately, they weren't araucanas...  they are are easter eggers, much to my disappointment at the time.  however, there is a positive in every aspect in life.  i am grateful to have watch them grow so fast and hopefully, they will prepare me enough for when i am ready for my araucanas.
