May 2011-Just brought 4 10 week old chickens home today. Coop got here on Monday, and now they are all settled in...I hope:) I have 1 each: Buff Orpington, some kind of SexLink, an Ameraucana, and a Barred Rock. I am a born and bred city girl who gets her nails done and loves all things girl, but somehow, I also want chickens:)

Oct 2011-Have increased our flock to 6, added a Wyandotte and a Mottled Java. The SexLink (named Lucy) has begun to lay...we can't wait for the others to catch on! DH was the first to get the fresh eggs...on his birthday:)
