Silkie Breed Information, Comments, and Experience with breed: This color was first developed by using bantam cochins and polish by a couple of breeders. The biggest challenge as of yet is to breed the skin, beak and comb/wattles to be dark. I have achieved the skin and beak as of the winter of 2008 with face/comb/wattle skin mottling. These are an AOV color. |
