Silkies originated in the Orient and are known as a delicacy their because of their black skin and bones. They also make very beloved pets because of their sweet and docile temperment. Many people think that the fur-like feathers are beautiful, but some people just think it is weird. Silkies also make great setters and mothers! In my opinion, Silkies are my favorite breed of bantam!
