Hello all! I'm new to this site and to all things chicken but I've been studying this site like crazy and I love every bit of it. I've always wanted to have chickens of my own, and now that we finally have our own place, I can finally get things started!
I've picked out the spot where I'll be building my kick ass pallet coop and ill be posting some pics to get your opinions about it. It's under trees and behind our house so it should be protected a bit from strong winds. Ill probably take down a tree or two to prevent critters from getting in from above.
Ill be making the coop based on the dimensions of 2 pallets as the base, so approx. 4x8ft 4ft high at one end, 5-5.5ft high on the other end (sloped). I want to make the run as big as possible since I'm not going to have them free-run just yet. Here are the pics (if I can make it work From my phone), please feel free to comment and make suggestions!
