About My Birds and Me
Hatching chicks is the life! I've hatched chickens, ducks, quail and even partridges!
Currently, I own 3 adorable little button quail. I joined Backyardchickens to gain a vaster knowledge of all these wonderful
birds from you guys! Everyone on here has been so helpful, thank you all!
So far you've taught me all about hatching and all the tips for successful hatches. I've even
designed and built my own incubator and brooder cage using ideas from the coop pages. They've all
helped so much, and I wouldn't be anywhere if it wasn't for BYC!

Just like I expected! The chicks actually made it!! They're hatching right now!

A month ago I put in a new nesting box for the quails and last Tuesday I noticed one of my quail sitting on some eggs. She's been sitting for a while and I'm looking forward to some chicks! These will be the first chicks my quail have ever hatched. The due date is probably doing to be on August 10-12.

Turns out that the ducks will have to wait. However I will be incubating more button quail eggs! I will post a link to the thread when I'm incubating.

School's almost out and I'll update right when i begin with the duck eggs!

Sorry, but I've decided to screw the whole thing until summer AFTER I hatched the duck eggs and after the incubators are done. So yeah.

I'm still working on the site and getting things done. Chick Stories is on it's way to completion, but other articles like the How to's and the Incubation Tips aren't going to be finished for a while because I need to take videos and photos in order to be completed. On another note, I'm going to finish my incubator hopefully by this weekend! (I'm excited because I've been putting that off since like August) When I finish I'm getting some duck eggs right away!
