Rural King has chicks for 4-H right now here in Indiana, but I have no clue what breed. Kathryn, check you local farm supply or feed store. If they don't carry them they may know who does. Good Luck.

Update on Rural King here in Kokomo. They have several differant breeds of chicks right now, including Rhode Islands, Plymoths, and others. They are running about $1-2 dollars each depending on breed. Hope this helps.

Hi all, I am in Pinellas County , Fla and am hoping to find 2 each of the following breeds .. Buff Orpington Chickens, Faverolles Chickens, Barnevelder chickens, and Delaware chickens ( I want to see which will be my preference and eventually switch to that breed w/ a Rooster). Hopefully they will all get along. ANY help in locating some locally would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

hmmm .. just read the local ordinances .. only 4 (or 5) allowed (confusing, conflicting ordinances) .. so then I need 4 hens, no rooster.
