Olive's Moms Blog ...This is day 5 of owning chickens.  Roxy (later named August) Mac's first chick died last night.  It was a very tiny Cochin Bantam.  Very sad.  Today he decided on another.  This time he named her Beginning ... as in a new beginning.  She is a Bantam also but this time he decided not to go with the smallest one he could find.  Beginning is a real leader and is working out well.  My chicks name is Olive and Jon's is Rocco Mae. Day 6 ...Everyone is happy.  The chicks tried yogurt today for the first time and they loved it.  Beginning the new chick is... read more

Oh my goodness.....I even get a blog here!!!! This site is very addictive let me tell you. It wasn't too long ago that i got a notion in my head that i wanted to have chickens.
