How do I begin? I can tell you that I never thought I would own a chicken, besides the one in my freezer. I never liked the idea of keeping birds of any type. I was a cat girl growing up.     5 Things I’ve learned from My Rooster All record of the year 2012 should be wiped off the charts…or it would if it were me. This year was just …horrible. We are brand new to chicken keeping. So new that we are not even "keeping chickens" yet.  Our chicken coop name will be 'Pollaio di Eden' which is Italian for Eden's Chicken Coop.   Five years have passed now since the rain's initial return and the land's miraculous restoration. Nearly all the native horses have been out-done and overrun by the newcomers, with only one small family band still clinging to existence, but the cycle is about to change again.
