This thread is about wolves and Indians. You can either choose an Indian or wolf. Or both if you like. You can choose to be hostile or friendly. But there is evil about, Indians and wolves can work together or be mean. There are humans killing and kidnapping wolves for experimenting. You can be that human or tribe or wolf, you can kill the wolves if you like. Or you prefer to be nice, feed them, ride them if there big enough or play. You choose what you want to do with your characters or others. Rules Keep below PG-13 If I say something it GOES. You can... read more
I'm new to swapping on Back Yard Chickens, but I have been a member of several online swaps (mostly for cloth diapering). I live in Alaska so shipping without a flat rate may be inflated. I'm also in a much earlier time zone - please keep that in mind! DISCLAIMER: Please understand, I have four homeschooled children and will try to keep this list as up-to-date as possible. On the off-chance that you ask for something that is no longer available, but I have not had a chance to remove it, I'm sorry! Items for swap: (pics coming soon, better descriptions,... read more
My flock started with Sunrise, Susan, and Sal. Then Sunrise and Susan died within two weeks of each other, leaving Sal alone until Sophia arrived. And thanks, also, to...yes...the HENleys...Chick---en--ma-a-a-a-n! and MHUSWLW! My coop-building journey started on a cold, gray, northwest December day last year. Sub-freezing temperatures didn't dampen my enthusiasm as I worked from dawn to dusk most weekends. I'm a do-it-yourselfer with no great experience in building projects. With limited knowledge...and even fewer tools, I... read more

Growing up, we had chickens, ducks, geese, goats, and various other "small farm" animals. Now, I am venturing back into the hobby with the expectations that my family will experience the same joy and excitement from raising chickens. I was going to start with only four peeps, but my daughter talked me into getting five. We now have 3 Light Brahmas and two Golden Laced Cochin. The 3 Brahmas are only about two weeks old and the Golden's are around a month or so. I will post as time goes on ... any problems or bumps in the road. I am building my own coop. I am placing... read more
