Mom's Pound Cake

      Recipe Picture:       Ingredients: 1 Pound of Butter 2 1/3 Cups of Sugar 6 Heaping tsp Sugar (to add to egg whites) 8 Large Eggs  3 1/2 cups of All Purpose or Cake Flour 1 tsp Baking Powder 2 tsp Vanilla 2 tsp Almond flavoring ( I use 2 Tbs of Pure Almond Extract) 2 Tbs Bourbon ( I think it is better without the Bourbon) 6 Tbs Cream ( I use Half & Half)   Mix: 1.  Cream butter &  2 1/3 cups of sugar, beat well.   2.  Add flavorings.     3.  Add egg yolks one at a time.  Mixing after each.     4.  In a separate small bowl mix... read more

Scrambled Egg Salad - easier than boiling those fresh eggs.

Ingredients: per serving 2 Medium to Large Fresh Eggs 1 Tbs (or a little less) Miracle Whip Salad Dressing 1 large squirt of Prepared Mustard 1 tsp Sweet Relish Pickles Salt and Pepper to taste. Butter optional         Cooking Instructions:   1- Scamble the eggs .           2- Heat a skillet on Med-High heat ( a small pat of butter is optional).   3-Pour in the eggs and stir til done   4- Place the scrambled eggs in a clean mixing bowl and add remaining ingredients 5- Mix well - a fork works best.         Recipe Pictures:       read more

Chicken Pot Pie/Stew

    Ingredients: 1 onion  1/2 bunch celery 3-4 med carrots 6-8 gold potatoes peeled or unpeeled 1/2 stick butter leftover rotisserie or baked chicken or Turkey 1/2 puff pastry sheet or pie crust flour 1/4 - 1/2 cup chicken broth or stock 4-8 cups depending on the amount of leftover chicken you have pressure cooker   Cooking Instructions:  Thaw pastry sheet or pie crust 40 min   Chop onion, celery, and carrots and sauté a few min in the open pressure cooker.   Cut up potatoes into bite size pieces and add to pressure cooker Add 1/2 of the chicken... read more

Gramma's No Time To Cook Chicken Chicken

Meringue Cookies are so delicious. The way they crunch when you bite them, but melt the next moment. So here is my derived recipe for Meringues. My Egg Drop Soup~

Ingredients: 6 cups of chicken broth 1 tbsp of water 4 tsp of cornstarch 1/2 cup of chopped green onions 2 eggs 1 tsp of soy sauce salt 1/2 cup of frozen peas (optional) chow mein noodles (optional)       Cooking Instructions: 1. Put the chicken broth in a medium saucepan along with a sprinkle of salt and bring to a boil. 2. Egg in a hole

Ingredients:                                                1. BYC Eggs               2. Butter 3. Bread (1 per person) 4. Fry pan 5. Stove Salt and pepper to taste                                      Cooking Instructions: Butter each slice of bread, on the front and back sides of the bread. Buffalo Chicken Soup

Intro: This is my personal take on Buffalo Chicken Soup...  mild to medium Buffalo chicken wing soup (from a gal that was raised on wings in the Buffalo area)!  I looked at a lot of recipes and didn't care for those that included cheese in them because a cheesy soup does not remind me, even remotely, of Buffalo Chicken wings!  While some other recipes that call for poaching the chicken IN the soup may be healthier, this one is all about the FLAVOR!  This is a delicious soup that my whole family devoured (I say this feeds 4 hungry people- if making for more, I suggest... read more

Sydney Acres version of Corfu Rooster
