Homemade Ice Cream

Ingredients: 4-6 eggs 1 c. heavy whipping cream 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla (12-oz.) can evaporated milk 1-2 qt. milk or half & half (3-oz.) boxes instant vanilla pudding Cooking Instructions Mix all together, except the milk, and pour into ice cream freezer. Fill to freezer's line with milk. Freeze according to your freezer's instructions. Note: Makes 1 gallon. read more

Grandma Sadie'S Creamy Cheesecake

Ingredients: 24 oz mascarpone cheese 1 tbsp vanilla 1 egg 1 graham cracker crust 1 c. sugar Cooking Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 350°. 2. In the bowl of your mixer add egg, sugar, and vanilla, beat on medium for a minute, then add the mascarpone a spoonful at a time. Do not rush this step; you need to mix smoothly for a creamy texture. Grandma Burney's Blueberry Crunch

Ingredients: 3 c. fresh or frozen blueberries 1 stick butter or margarine 1 box yellow cake mix 1 large can crushed pineapple 2 c. sugar 1 c. nuts Cooking Instructions In a 9x11 pan, pour undrained crushed pineapple into bottom and cover with blueberries. Add 1 cup of sugar. Spread dry yellow cake mix over the top, followed by 1 cup of sugar. Top with slices of butter or maragine. Optional: add crushed or whole nuts, such as pecans, on top. Graham Cracker Meringue Cookies

Ingredients: 2 egg whites 1 c. crushed graham crackers 2/3 c. sugar 3/4 c. chopped pecans Cooking Instructions Mix egg whites until stiff, then add sugar gradually. Add nuts and Graham Crackers. Drop by teaspoon full on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325°. Put rack all the way at the top. Bake till light brown about 7 to 9 minutes. read more

Golden Sponge Cake

Ingredients: 12 egg yolks 2 c. cake flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. white sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. lemon extract 1 c. cold water Cooking Instructions Sift cake flour and sugar (separately) once before measuring. Sift together three times: flour, baking soda, and salt. In mixing bowl, beat egg yolks on #8 (high) speed until very fluffy and thick. Gradually beat in sugar. Ingredients: 1 box plain white cake mix 1 pkg. strawberry jello 1 c. mashed fresh strawberries w/ juice 1 c. vegetable oil 1/2 c. whole milk 4 eggs Frosting: 8o pkg. cream cheese 1/2 stick butter 1 3/4 c. powdered sugar 1/2 can mashed strawberries, drained Cooking Instructions Preheat oven to 325° F. Ingredients: caramel sundae topping 1 (14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk 3 (8-oz.) c. milk 6 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla extract 1/2 c. sugar cinnamon (optional) Cooking Instructions Preheat Oven to 325°. Ingredients: 3 eggs 3/4 c. white sugar 4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, chopped 1 stick unsalted butter 1/2 c. cocoa powder 1 pinch salt 1 tsp. vanilla extract Cooking Instructions Whisk the eggs and sugar together in a mixing bowl for 2 minutes, or until light and foamy. Ingredients: 1/2 1-lb. bag Kraft caramels 1/2 c. evaporated milk 3 c. all purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 1/4 c. oil 1/4 c. cold water 1 egg, beaten 1-2 cans apple pie filling 1 (8-oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 egg 1/3 c. sugar Cooking Instructions Melt caramels with evaporated milk over boiling water. Eggnog Pie

Ingredients: 1 tsp. unflavored gelatin 1 tbsp cold water 1 c. milk 1/2 c. white sugar 2 tbsp cornstarch 1/2 tsp. salt 3 egg yolks, beaten 1 tbsp butter 1 tbsp vanilla 1 c. whipping cream, whipped to a peak 1 baked pie shell Cooking Instructions Soak gelatin in cold water. Scald milk. Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt; mix well. Add milk to mixture and cook until thick. Add eggs and cook two minutes. Add gelatin, butter, and vanilla. Cool, then fold in whipped cream.
