Leghorns, Rhode Island Reds, Australorps and Orpingtons are all very
productive breeds.

2. What breed should I get? top
Decide what you want from your chickens. If you want them for eggs, you
should get a breed that lays a lot of eggs. If you want them for meat, you
should get a breed that grows heavy at a young age. If you want them for
pets, you should get a breed that is calm and easy to handle. More

3. What is the difference between a bantam and a regular chicken? top
A bantam is a miniature chicken, usually about 1/4 to 1/2 the size of a
regular chicken.

A cockerel is a young rooster. A pullet is a young hen.
