Help humidity question for incubator

This is the first time I am hatching duck eggs. I have a little giant still air incubator. We are on day 28. The humidity in the incubator is staying between 42% and 50%. I have 2 small bowls of water and a wet sponge but the humidity is not moving. Is this ok. What should I do. Temp is at 99 degrees. Please help. I have tried finding out by searching on google but I am so confused on what is right?

Sorry it took so long to respond.

I find my incubator can have the same problems. Try putting a damp (not wet) napkin over the eggs so that they still get air but stay moist, like if tey were covered by a momma's feathers.

Can you add another sponge? I'd try to get humidity to at least 65%. Is your hygrometer calibrated?
