Surrogate Hen?

I've been thinking about buying hatching eggs but I don't have an incubator. I was wondering if I could stick them underneath one of my laying hens and they would hatch them? I am new at raising chickens and I was just wondering. Or should I just buy an incubator. Which one is easier? Thanks for the information

You certainly can,but the hen must be broody. In other words some hens occasionally have the hormone change and and natural inclination to "set". Read up on broody hen.
