Not sure if I will, I am taking cockerels for process tomorrow...but I may take her if she is edible...

She is a cornish hen, couple years old. Eats and drinks well, but may be just a bit thin.

She has been getting B-vitamins, Selenium and Turmeric extract for a few weeks, and seems to be making improvement...

but...still thinking if she is fine to eat, I may just do that.

Does anyone know?
Thx.

There shouldn't be a problem processing/eating her. Wry neck is often caused by a neurological problem and doesn't pose a threat to humans.

Thanks for getting back. I didn't really see a problem either other than it's a "condemnation" in big business processing.

ETA: if they found tumors or something when processing, then it would make sense to not eat. She also has no other symptoms, no runny nose, wheezing, feather loss etc.

I think I'll give her a bit, see if she continues recovering and maybe starts laying again...none of the big hens are now either, just the pullets, so... She can eat and drink fine and has begun scratching again. :)
