In September we got our first baby chicks, 12 Australorps. We lost one in the brooder and another after they were moved to the pen by a wild animal. So now we have 9 hens & 1 roo. Yesterday we found the first 4 eggs. 3 were small & one was a good size. Today there was 3 more, 1 big, 2 small. All 7 were all different shades of brown ranging from a cream color to a dark brown. The 2 bigger ones were double yolks! I'd say the girls are on the right track!
