I currently have 21 chickens of various breeds, all hens (leghorn, golden comet, rhoade island, new Hampshire, barred rock, easter egger, buff orphington). Can I introduce a small breed such as banties with the bigger hens?

Absolutely, and banty roosters are hilarious when the court the bigger ladies. Just make sure you have plenty of roost, run and coop space for your new additions.

I have a couple of bantam cochins and d'uccle with my large breeds as well a few large breed roosters. Most bantam make great roosters to a large breed flock.

Thank you for the information. I will have to wait until next year to upgrade the flock. I need another coop and larger run. They do free roam when I am home, but when I am not at home, they are in a run to keep them safe from any stray dogs that may wander by. I just didn't want to get any new additions that would not get along.
