Automatic coop door.

Hello I am new to this site. I have found it very helpfull thanks! My question is i am building an automatic door for my coop (plans i found online involving a car antenna motor. Has anyone on here used these plans and swapped out the lever operated micro switches for magnetic contact limits with any success. It just seems less likley to fail with the less then clean environment they are placed. Thanks for any help!
