As a newbie to the chicken and quail family, I am looking for some insight. I have quail (both jumbo pharaoh and golden Manchurian) that are 10 weeks old and not laying eggs yet even though the roos are a crowing. I give them 25ish% protein feed and at least 14 hours of light each day. Most everything I have read stated that quail should start laying around 6-8 weeks. Is there something different that I need to do, or just wait it our? Does or did anyone else have this happen to them?

Those birds tend to lay late mine layed wk 8 .just check your lighting /timing and your feed .and if all comes out correct for production then you might have the girls a bit stressed ...adding newbies to a flock will also be a cause of them not to lay but I'm sure soon .just check your egg production list and you'll solve it
