Has anyone tried recycled paper bedding that is not pellet form? Our chick is 22 days old and been on paper towels which I clean twice a day, but thinking this might be better.

I don't see why it wouldn't be suitable for chicks. I urge you to read very carefully the information on the origins of the paper, though, to assure that there aren't any toxins in it, and maybe do a google search on the product in relation to using it as chick bedding.

I ended up not trying it. I saw it in the store and our Amber Dash loves to eat paper so decided against it. We still use beach towels in her Rubbermaid pen and clean out as needed.

The hospital type disposable pads work great if you are tired of the washing machine routine with towels.  Like big disposable diapers.  Mary
I cloth diaper(ed) 3 kids, so I have no issue washing them, but I do worry about the talons getting caught in the terry loops. Anyone have problems with that? It's a great option if not!
