So Recently my neighbors got a couple cats, one is looks like a young adult and one is a medium sized kitten. They both look like house cats (really soft and docile) but my neighbors keep them outside. Today I noticed the kitten for the first time, so I naturally picked it up and played with it, but after I put it down I realized it was stalking my pullets. That made me realize that one of the cats (probably the adultish one) was probably the reason for the limp in one of my hens that happened last week and the limp in one of my chicks that i noticed today. I have seen both of them stalking and chasing after the pullets and hens (3 pullets around 6 or 7 weeks old and 6 hens) and I'm not sure what I should do because I like to let them free range during the day when we're in the house since their run is so small. Any suggestions? I can't really sit out there with a water gun all day and i'm not sure if house cats are really a threat to the lives of my chickens or not. Thanks!
