Cornish cross Giants

I Want to get Cornish cross Giants but I here they are a hassle should I get them any advice or tips?? I want to know everything about them!

I hear a lot of bad stuff on the site about them but Daddy use to keep them. They were fed once a day and left to run around the rest of the day. A couple of times a month he would kill one for Sunday dinner. They were just chickens (BIG CHICKENS). I don't remember there being any problems of course that could have been the ones that found their way to the table, lol. Mama loved what good layers they were although I've heard on here that most people say they aren't much for laying. I say try some and see. I am planning on getting some myself before too long and letting them free-range.

From prior experience I would suggest using fermented feed, and raw, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar in their water. I'll be raising them again.
