I have read about color sexing a Blacksexlink but do the same rules apply if the Chicky Daddy is a Buff Orpington? My Broody BSL hid a clutch and now I have 8 little ones running round my garden. Two are Buff and the rest look like Blacksexlink. They are about 9 days old now and three of them have well developed wing feathers and the rest don't. Can you tell sex by feather development?

You won't be able to sex those. They are not black sex linked or red sex linked, and feather sexing only works if specifically crossed for, which in this case it was not. The only way to sex them is to wait and see :)

UPDATE: Turned out those three with the different wing development (pictured above) were hens as I had suspected. The other five are roosters.
