Hi all! I have been so desperate for new girls that when I saw an add of Facebook for 3 Bantam Cochin Hens I jumped at the opportunity. I didn't do much inspecting when I picked them up but now that they are home in the light of my heated garage I'm wondering, did I actually get three hens?

I'm gonna stick with pullet. I think they are probably closer to 4 month. Full standing photos could help.

The barred birds look male. The barring is light, and the comb looks like a young cockerel. Better pics would confirm. Profile shots of the birds standing naturally are best.

The partridge bird, I'm not sure. A better pic would help. With that color, if the breast is black, the bird is male. If the breast is salmon/brown, it's female.

Their true age can make a big difference, my three month old Cochin pullet look like the middle one for comb size. My 4 month olds look like the bigger combs.
