Egg in an egg

Was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this before.we received an unusually large duck egg last week as shown in the picture. When cracked I was surprised to find a solid egg in with a egg white/ yolk???

Just a few weeks ago my aunt told me of a lady who lives near her that sells chicken eggs and one of her hens (a blue egg layer) lays these egg-within-an-egg quite frequently. I thought she meant double yolker but she said no, it is definitely a fully formed egg within another egg. First time I've ever heard of such a phenomenon!

I've never had one here but have heard of it before. Very interesting to say the least.
