With that much comb at 4 momths I am going with cockerel.

Thank you so much! I am new to raising chickens, I have an Australorp roo as well who is 8 months old and I'm hoping they will get a long. they both are pretty gentle and and have been getting along fine so far

Definitely cockerel. Your two can probably get along well enough. The issue comes when there isn't enough hens. They will be over mated. standard recommendation is 10 to 1.
