In the Brooder
Hi fellow farmers! We had a dog attack a little over a week ago. They got 2 of my 3 silkie roosters. My last one I thought was fine. He held himself up under the barn for several days. Bruce Wayne (Batman for short) lost feathers but I never saw blood. When I finally crawled under the barn to fetch him he was dehydrated and basically flopped into my hands. I was able to relieve his pasty butt rather easily. He's taken in sugar water and seems to be getting some bearings back. He did apparently get a small bite but it had scabbed over and looks not infected but I've still dressed it with Neosporin. Any suggestions on his care? He's currently living in my bedroom in a pet carrier. Bowels seem to be working and he coos when he's rubbed but no crows or otherwise. I'm sad and worried. First time posting for help and new backyard farmer. Thanks in advance!
