one of the chickens has bubbly saliva in on of its eyes

The bird is hiding in the laying box and each time it blinks, more bubbles appear. Is it because of the cold or is it because of a different cause? Can anyone tell me what this could be or mean?

It can sometimes be a sign of mycoplasma (MG,) a respiratory disease, especially if you see nasal drainage, sneezing, gasping, a swollen eye, or other respiratory symptoms. But I have a bearded hen who seems to have that on very cold mornings, then it is fine on warmer days. She has no other symptoms, so I feel hers is a problem with her tear ducts.

Thank you I collected eggs today and had the saliva in her eyes I`ll do some research on mycoplasma and also on ways to help her get better.
At least the rooster wasn't the problem.

I forgot to mention that it isn't saliva, but tears. Tylan 50 or oxytetracycline can treat mycoplasma, but you should probably see other symptoms before treating with those antibiotics.
