Does anyone recognize this leg joint issue in my deceased quail?

My little girl finally died but she survived since I got her as a nearly mature female with this leg/joint issue. She had a hard time getting around but managed and lived with me for about a year with this joint swelling issue.

I don't think that you can know the diagnosis for certain without a necropsy by your state vet, but it looks like it could possibly be a staphylococcal or other bacterial infection of the joints. Fowl cholera can also cause swollen joints. Antibiotics may have helped. Sorry for your loss.

Eggcessive, do you think she could have lived for that long if it was a staph infection or fowl cholera? Her joints were swollen, though not that large, and she struggled to walk from the very git go of getting her. I rescued her from a poultry slaughter house.

I'm not a vet, but I think she could have. Do you have any other birds with swollen joints or scabs on the bottoms of their feet or toes, also called bumblefoot?
