Cookie tin heater and rubber bowl?

Will a cookie tin heater work with a rubber bowl? I have ducks and chickens so I need something the ducks can dunk their head in. If not, I will buy a metal bowl.

Also do they need a pool or will a bucket do for the winter?

I can answer the first question. Yes, the cookie tin warmer works just fine with rubber bowls.

As to the second question, I don't have the answer. Sorry. Hopefully a duck person will be along shortly.
