Finally reached a point in construction where I could close up the coop/tractor and move the birds from the overcrowded Coleman cooler to their new home. Smaller than a coop but so big an atv will be required to move it. It seems like one day they're baby chicks and overnight they explode into mini chickens. Combine that phenomenonal growth rate and a couple days of bad weather that kept me from working outside they were getting a little feisty with each other in the cooler. Some pics.

Day 1 construction. You don't think about lumber bouncing when dropped. I drug one of those 4bys into position and dang if it didn't bounce up and came down on my big toe with the corner. Yup left a really good mark. Toughest day of construction without a helper. A third hand keeping everything in alignment would have been nice.

Getting lost in the straw.

Very nice coop. Great idea making it so big you need an ATV. Honey, the chicken coop is done, but I need to buy an ATV to move it. Going shopping for one now!
