Just got a few more Coturnix Quail and decided to put them outside in a old chicken pen not being used. Anything I should watch for, or should they be ok??

It seems they have quit laying, temps are like 57 at night and near 75-79 day. Could that be a problem??

Another question...
Before I put the quail outside I was getting an egg a day. Now that they are outside not 1 egg out of 8 hens in over a week.
Any suggestions?
Do Quail have a laying season, and is it over??

Thanks

They stop laying when stressing and moving them would of done that but they should start up again once thee are no more changes. Mine just started laying a couple of weeks ago here in the uk as started getting longer days people have said that April to September is their usual laying season ! X

Well, once they shut down for a period of time, it may take a while for them to come back on board with the laying. As long as they are mature, are getting the proper light, avoid extremes in temperature, and are being fed a proper feed, they should lay, assuming they are otherwise healthy looking birds.
