8 wk lavender Orpington- Male or female?

No crowing. No noticed rooster-y behavior. Quiet and docile. Comb has just started getting larger. Still yellow, though.

Not sure, but if I had to guess, I would say cockerel.

Just an update. Chickadee is now about 10 weeks. Still no crowing, no trying to mount the other chicken I'm sure is a hen- as a matter of fact, Chickadee gets chased by the other one. Here are some updated pictures. I don't notice any roostery looking feathers but I'm no expert. Thoughts? Hen? Rooster?

I'm no expert either, but I get the feeling it's a girl. I do have one Lavender Orpington hen and this is her when she was only about 6 weeks old.

Gee I don't know if females get the darker combs and wattles this early.
