What makes a good coop for chicks?

I need a light, movable, flat packable coop for chicks to use as a grow out until they're big enough to move in with the hens.

Things that I've been thinking about:

  • Perches can be closer together than for adult hens (maybe 8 inches apart?)
  • Mesh floor with space for a removable solid floor (plastic)
  • Wall panels bolted together so it can be flat packed for storage
  • One wall removable for easier cleaning
  • Ventilation on two sides near the roof
  • Door which can be closed and locked (there are thieves locally)
  • Perches are removable for cleaning and ducklings

I'm not sure if it's best to go for a triangle shaped "ark" style one with space underneath or for a simpler box shaped coop. What are your preferences?

Is it better to have the perches tiered at different heights or all at the same level?

As an alternative to wood, I'm also thinking about trying out making a plastic from stokbord, similar to what Solway produce.

Any links to designs would be appreciated!

a cheap hoop coop should be in order. Search it up, if you scrimp a bit, you can store around 10 8 week chickens or possibly even more for only 125$.
