Well after a very long time we finally finished the coop. Here are pics. Tell me what you think.
Here is the coop from the side. See the run underneath?
Here is the automatic door and the open air screen on the side wall.
Here is a shot of the coop from the front. See the egg shaped finials on the porch?
Here is the inside of the front room and the door to the chicken room. The barn siding was salvaged from our old coop.
Here are our egg collection doors in the front room.
Here is a shot through the egg collection doors into the nest boxes which we also salvaged from the old coop on the farm.
Here are the nest boxes we salvaged. Plenty of fresh air with all the open windows and under the eaves which are all screened.
Here is a shot of the rock wall around the front. The rocks were all salvaged from around the old coop.
Here is their roosting area. Hard surfaced wallboard is easier to clean.
Here is the run underneath the coop from the rear.
Here is the walkway from the auto door down to the run underneath.
Here is the work station in the front room.
And here is our rooster. We named him Crosby, after Bing, since he's such a crooner.
Finally done. Now BRING ON THE EGGS!
