does anyone know the law here? I cannot seem to find anything. and does anybody know the law about having them a certain amount of feet from your neighbors house? I know its different everywhere but Im just looking for a general rule.

I did a search and found the following document:

that seems to pertain to Riverside County, CA. Poultry keeping varies by your zoning which only you know, but it seems the minimum number of hens you could potentially keep is 4 if you are in zones R-1 thru R-3 and have a small lot, with no roosters, while if you are in zones A-D or A-2, you can keep up to 100 hens and 20 roosters if you have an acre or more.
