dogs and chickens

there are dogs that love to chase and kill chickens,this is normal and there are dogs that walks with chickens,i have two of them, a dachshund and chihuahua,the chickens and turkeys dont mine them around,i did not train or teach the dogs they do this on their own,,i had these two dogs before i had chickens,i took a pic of the dachshund with red jungle fowl,no problem

I have two german shepherds that are trained not to bother chickens. Having said that, I do not leave them alone with the chickens and I do NOT trust them with my call ducks. German shepherds have very high prey drives. While they leave the chickens alone, I don't trust them to do the same with a call duck in flight.

German shepherds are very smart dogs,I had one for 12 years

My dog loves chickens he'll walk with them and always loves taking a trip to the coop
