Well, I think one of my hens is about to start crowing. Do either of them look like roosters?

Thanks.

You have what appears to be a red sex link pullet (female)
and possibly a white leghorn - again pullet.
How old are these birds and what makes you think you are going to hear crowing soon?

They are both five months old, and the red sex link's voice has been raspy since yesterday. She is moving around and drinking like normal, so I don't think she's sick or anything. I read somewhere that roosters get raspy voices before they start crowing, so I just wanted to make sure that I had pullets. Thanks!

She might start to get louder, because she seems pretty close to laying age. Her comb and wattles will probably get red soon, then start looking for eggs! :)

Agree you have two pullets. That red sex link is closer to laying.

Red sex links are easy to sex as the sex is linked to the color. Red is female, white is male, so she's a sure thing
